Filmmaker William Olsson was born and raised in Gothenburg, Sweden. After obtaining an MFA in film production from USC, William went on to direct An American Affair, a coming of age story set during the time of the Kennedy assassination. His next directorial effort, the Swedish-language film Reliance (Förtroligheten) won the Grand Jury Prize at the Shanghai Film Festival in 2013. William Olsson lives with his wife and three children in Sweden.
